Many Interns and Program Assistants are wrapping up the school year -- WOW. We could not have made it through this wild year without you. If this is your stop, we wish you all so much luck on your many adventures ahead! If you're staying on the CAN train, we are so excited to continue ASP through the end of May and then roll into our summer programs this June.
If you're interested in applying to be a Summer Program Facilitator, make sure to reach out to Paige Ampey soon! We need to have every summer staff member locked in by mid-May.

Have a great summer, everyone!
Highlights
Now that After School Programs can be outdoors, it's been so fun and amazing to see our kiddos in-person more intentionally and have better opportunities to engage with them. Despite the recent cold snap, we're moving toward warmer weather, more vaccine accessibility, and some semblance of a new normal and those are all things we are so grateful for.
Know someone who wants to partner with us?
If you ever get connected with someone who is interested in donating to CAN, let Frankie know so we can get their donation on-record and send out official love and appreciation on behalf of our organization.
Same for volunteers! Send them to Paige so they can begin the onboarding process.

Tips & Tidbits
AmeriCorps VISTA End-Of-Year Wrap-Up
If you're a VISTA wrapping up your year in the next few months (many wrap-ups coming in August), this is a great time to check-in with your supervisors on the progress of your main project. On the VISTA Guidebook timeline, this means having developed your project to a point where it can be passed on to someone else at the organization; finding someone or a few people to train to pass the baton.
We are currently hiring new VISTAs to start this summer that we hope can help take on the baton as well. If there is no cross-over however, make sure to have your project plan/vision in writing and ensure your supervisor knows what they need to keep the project sustainably growing.
